Our Holly girl. Or Miss Independence if you will. Since the time of being a puppy she knew what she would do and would not do. Sleep in a crate – no. Sleep on the sofa – yes. She was never a cuddler. Yet she’d always come to check on you to see where you were. She was Mom’s partner at work. She’d always come to get me with a toy in her mouth to say “it’s break time Mom”. She knew when the shoes hit the floor it was Dad getting ready to take her for a walk. And if she thought it was walk time, she’d just go get him and give Dad the stink eye until he got the hint. And she loved the mountains. Oh how she loved being there. So many sniffs and smells and little critters to catch her eye. Her soul was at home in the mountains. She was our best friend, our baby, and she will be missed. Holly, you’ve left a hole where you once filled our hearts. We love you and will always miss you.
